Days Like These with Dear Lizzy kit Lucky Charm

Here is my latest page! It has been forever it seems since I created a page. I have been wanting to use the days like these cutting file. I love how big it is. Aidan makes me happy. I love how he wants me still. We had such a fun day at the garden center looking at flowers and trying to decide what to get. The little kids still find such things fun. The big boys are not as into that anymore. They are growing up too fast but at times I am grateful for how mature they are. Well enjoy! I am hoping to get more done soon!

KI Memories Flashback layout of Aidan

I love my newest layout! I used KI Memories Flashback collection for this layout! A couple of items are from October Afternoon 9 to 5 line. I also used my Silhouette to cut out the Hello heart from Karla Dudley. This layout just really came together fast! I am loving the KI line and wish I had bought more. I went to Two Peas and purchased more that they had. I would love to have a scrapbook store that would get in the new stuff I love, not just what is sent to them. I am still enjoying the therapy aspect of paper scrapping again.
I love how Aidan is now so interested in my taking photos of him. He actually looks and smiles now! I love how the photos of him in his diaper came out. The lighting was perfect. The buttons are actually in a different place than the photo. I could not find my glue dots anywhere. I finally went to the store and bought more! I glued them down in a higher position and closer to the photo. I feel like I am always learning when I scrap. What works and what I like and what I wish I had done differently. I know if I had an unlimited budget for scrapping I would add more to my layouts. I need to practice adding more layers still. Maybe next time!

I actually have gotten around to making new layouts! I love scrapbooking! The top layout is about how Brevan loves to read. I love that Kip takes the time to read to him. It is important! The middle layout is about Brevan being so full of life and wonderfullness! Is that a word? He loves life and really loved this crown he got from church. The last layout I copied from an online layout but I am not liking it as much the way I made it. I had to change my design up because I accidentally spilled ink on the background paper. I did not want to try and find another that I thought went with everything. This will teach me to buy two papers exactly the same :) As I am comparing myself of course to others online there are things I would like to improve in my scrapping. I am trying to tell myself though that my children of course will just be glad that I did it not that I was the most amazing scrapper of all time! Practice makes perfect! Well off to study more layouts and decide what thing to try next!

Basic Grey New Page layout

Here is my latest page! I love how it turned out! I used Basic Grey's line Fact or Fiction. I also used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Black on the background. Basic Grey's kit is just wonderful. I had so much fun picking out all the little elements to go on this page. The best part about this kit besides it being amazing is I got it for such an amazing price! Joanne's had an extra 25% of during the holidays on top of it being 50% off!  I love love amazing deals! I am loving the therapy aspect of scrapping with paper once again. It is soothing and exciting to see my page come together.
I chose pictures from this summer when Aidan was still learning to walk. We like to hang out in the front yard and let the kids ride bikes or play with the water hose. I love just being with the kids and having fun doing ordinary everyday stuff!

December Daily Cover Page

I finally made the cover for my album. I knew I wanted to use the hello from Freckled Fawn and the word December. I finally ended up printing the word out backwards in my red glitter paper and hand cutting it out. I would love to have a Silhouette. It would be much easier for some of the things I want to do. I machine stitched the red polka dot crepe paper and the green tulle. I added the flower, bird, and snowflakes from k&Company. I sprayed the background with the glimmer mist first. I still am not sure how I am binding the whole thing together. I know it is turning out to be much thicker than I anticipated, but that is fine.I am loving how it is coming along. I have not had as much time to work on it this week. Aidan has come down with a cold and high fever. He justs wants his momma, no one else will do. I love him and the snuggling time but will be glad when he feels better. He is demanding and I need a little break. Hope you are loving my album as much as I am.

December Daily Pages 2 and 3

I am having so much fun taking pictures and making my album! Day 2 we went to church and I had to pull out our Christmas outfits! I love shopping! I was so lucky last year to find clothes for Aidan for $2.50 a set! I found this adorable black and red two piece that matches a sweater that Brevan already had! I love amazing deals! Day 3 Lyndsey took and ornament to school for the class tree. She picked out an icicle because she wants it to snow. We have yet to get any real snow. She was so excited to pick something out from our tree to take. I really love how I got the idea to make the the red polka dot tissue border. I ruffled it with the sewing machine I need to post the video I took making it. Day 3 is a smaller page inserted. I am looking forward to stretching my creativity with each new day. I am determined to get it done before the end of December.

December Daily 2012 Day 1

Here is Day 1 of my December Daily 2012! We put up our Christmas tree. I printed out a photo collage of five pictures of the kids decorating the tree. Brevan asked to put the star on! I used ditto glimmer spray for the white background. I pulled out all of my old Christmas paper from the 20 plus years I have been scrapping. I found the perfect set from K&Co. Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist Holiday Greetings line.
I added washi tape and a star with red and black glitter letters from Making Memories. I am so glad I have kept all of my paper supplies from before I started digital scrapping. I am definitely doing both from now on. I love the feel of paper scrapping. It is soothing and therapeutic. I also used the alpha stamp from Provo Craft Circa 18 pts.

I had so much fun watching and helping the children decorate the tree. They get so happy and excited about where to place things and imagining the toys Santa will place under it. It was wonderful basking in the glow of childhood innocence. As an adult Christmas is only fun to me through the eyes of my children. I love how my page turned out and I will be posting the next days soon! I am excited about the things I have lined up to do in December!
